Las Vegas, NV – January 23, 2024 – The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Americas proudly revealed the recipients of the prestigious Frank W. Berkman "Best of the Best" Awards during the HSMAI Mike Leven Leadership Conference, held in Las Vegas, NV. This annual event recognizes outstanding achievements in chapter leadership and operations, setting the standard for excellence within the organization.

Berkman, HSMAI's executive director from the 1960s until his retirement in 1981, the awards serve as a tribute to his legacy and commitment to excellence. Each year, the "Best of the Best" Awards recognize chapters that exemplify the highest standards in leadership and operational excellence, contributing significantly to the success of HSMAI.

Accepting the awards on behalf of HSMAI South Florida were Christina Davis, current co-president, and past-presidents Michael Oaks and Ligia Centurion. HSMAI South Florida emerged victorious at this year's awards ceremony, securing top honors in two key categories: Membership Large Chapter and Special Events Large Chapter. These accolades highlight the chapter's exceptional dedication to fostering a vibrant community, driving membership growth, and organizing the 38th Annual Masquerade Gala - Awards Dinner & Silent Auction at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort that fundraises for the Dr. Peter Ricci Scholarship.
